When I was contacted by a musician from Iran, I was very curious. Because to be honest I did not thought I'd hear progressive music from that country. But there I received two albums of Salim Ghazi Saeedi: Iconophobic (2010) and Human Encounter (2011). This is an independent musician that I want to support, even though his music is not as 'prog' as I expected...more jazzy, with some King Crimson/Robert Fripp influences.
But Salim showed he is a good songwriter and I did enjoy listening to the albums. I hope this review will give you an idea who Salim Ghazi Saeedi is and what kind of music he makes. If you like it, please support him!
