Every band, musician and recordlabel release their music with one purpose: to get people to buy it. One of the tools for promoting music, is to have a release reviewed. There are many sources for reviews, both online and printed. And then there is Live Prog.
What is Live Prog?
Live Prog is a review website. But a very unique one! Here you don't read reviews...you watch them. Because we work exclusively with video. The result is a very personal approach to the release, which includes soundsamples from the release. This way people not only get a good impression of the album, but can immediately verify the words of the reviewer. So you get an honest and open review of the release.
What do we review?
Since Live prog works with video, the visual aspect is very important. We review any official physical music carrier: CD, DVD, Blu-Ray and Vinyl. In all cases, we review only the retail version, the version people will buy in the store.
Please note: we do not review digital downloads, streams or CD-R versions of an album.
I want my CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/Vinyl reviewed by Live Prog...
The first thing to do is send your release to this address:
Live Prog Video Reviews

If you have any additional files, photo's, artwork, logo, in digital form, please send that by e-mail to
When the review is ready and online, we will send you the link. We would appreciate if the link to our website will be posted on your website/facebookpage. We will post the link as well.
If you like, you can record a small clip, and we can mix this in the review. And if you are prepared also to record a small promo clip (station ID), that would be appreciated. Please get in touch with us for the details.
What more does Live Prog offer?
Next to our video reviews, we also offer video interviews on our website. We can do interviews on location, but also at Live Prog HQ, the place where all the video reviews are recorded.
If you like to do an interview on location, it is important to have a quiet and well lit place.
We also can help with studio reports, for example to show fans a glimspe of the recording process. And we can do special reports, for example of a festival or performance.
If you are interested in workig with Live Prog, please get in touch with us through the contact form.

Disclaimer: We do not return the medium sent to us for review, unless specifically agreed upon. We hold the right to refuse to review an album. In such case we also do not return the medium sent to us. We review the material as honest, impartial and critical as possible. Our final version is the final version. We do not make edits by request.
Since Live Prog is a work of love and done by one man, we cannot give guarantees about the timeframe.
