For the second Live Prog Report, I bring you a very special report on the only Electronic Music festival in the Netherlands: E-Live. E-Live is an annual festival, held in October, and feautures many talented musicians from Holland and outside Holland. There are many stands with all kinds of electronic music and the atmosphere on the festival is fantastic.
The 2012 edition of E-Live feautures some amazing performers and I had the pleasure to speak with a few of them: Glenn Main (Norway), Gert Emmens & Ruud Heij (Netherlands) and Bernd Kistenmachers (Germany) performed on the mainstage. There was also a very special performance by The Dominique Perrier Project, known from his work with Jean Michel Jarre), who returned with Space Art. And two other performances, AKS (Netherland) in the upper room and Fanger & Schönwälder (Germany) in the cafe area. Join me in the report and experience E-Live.
A progger's journey into EM. For many years I have been active in progressive rock. But in the background I have always been fond of synthesizer music. Lately I found I was getting more interested in this genre, so I figured it was a good moment to add some EM to Live prog, to offer more diversity in music.
This special is my introduction to EM as experienced by a prog rock fan. It includes some short reviews of a few of my favourite EM albums, a lot of music and a nice video clip. It's a bit of a long special, but I do hope you like it. There will be more EM on Live Prog soon!
Welcome to the first edition of The Live Prog Report. This new item on Live Prog is a bit different, as it is not a video review nor an interview, but it can contain both. It is in fact a sort of news show, in which several topics will pass by. This first edition is a pilot, a test, to see how it goes. Feel free to send your feedback, so I can make the next one even better. But for now: Enjoy!
Because of the length, the full interviews with Sun Caged and Haken are added as seperate clips. You can watch them here:
Sun Caged: Marcel Coenen and special guest Atma Anur
Haken: Richard Henshall and Diego Tejeida
